Local 768 needs leaders ready to fight!

Over the past 10 years, the cost of living in New York City has risen 37%. For some of our members, their wages have only increased 29% over that period, and our contracts were mostly written for the workplaces of the last century.

We know what our members' priorities are, and our vision is to build Local 768 into a union capable of leading the fight to win these priorities.  

Local 768 members will elect new leaders fall of 2026. Nominations will occur in October, and ballots are expected to be mailed in early November. Who we choose to lead matters.

Who can vote?

In order to be eligible to vote, you must be a member of Local 768, including currently paying dues (check your paystub to confirm). If you are eligible to be a member (i.e. you are employed in one of the positions that we represent, but are not yet a member, you can complete the dues authorization form on the DC37 membership portal: https://dc37portal.dc37.net/ . Any other concerns regarding membership should be directed to DC37's Department of Membership Records, at 212-815-1570.

How do we vote?

Like prior leadership elections for our Local, this election will be conducted by mail, with ballots sent to your home address (according to DC37's records) and must be mailed back to the election agency (AAA) in the pre-addressed envelope. If you have not yet received your ballot by approximately November 13th, you can call AAA to request a replacement ballot at 800-529-5218.

The Election Committee expects to have ballots mailed out week of November 5 and completed ballots must be received back no later than November 30th by 10am in order to be counted.
